The renumbering of the SD9's into the 4300 series was because of a capital rebuild program at Sacramento Shops beginning in 1970.  The renumbering was not in sequence and each SD9 got a new number when it came out of the shop.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul
