Anything left in CR blue is pretty rare. That being said, NS 5425 (SD50) was spotted today working a train on the BRC just east of Clearing.
Don't forget ... it has been 12 years since the CSX/NS split of ConRail occured. The fact that either carrier still has any ConRail Blue engines left would not be evidence of their 'rush' to paint out the ConRail past.
Never too old to have a happy childhood!
I see several of the around ChattanoogaTN, saw two yesterday GE's on NS didn't catch the numbers though
Hello,
I'm going on vacation next week to the Bahamas, Tennessee, and Florida. I also see that CSX and NS have made an aggressive push to repaint anything Conrail blue. I would like to know the whereabouts of the remaining CSX (don't count the last CSX/Conrail GP38-2s and 1 of the SD40-2 cause they're in the shop at Huntington) and Norfolk Southern Conrail engines so I can hopefully catch a few of those before CSX and NS repaint all of their Conrail locos. Any tips to where any remaining Conrail loco would be greatly appreciated.
