Does anyone know where I could find any locomotives from Southern or N&W like U-boats, B-boats, Dash-7s, & anything from the pre-NS era I would really appreciate it.

Ala Train Lover:

There is currently a Thread running on this Forum that represents quite a bit of research on The Norfolk Souther Locomotive fleet. It is by type and lineage ( SouRwy/N&W heritage). You might want to look at it and bookmark it for later reference:

http://cs.trains.com/TRCCS/themes/trc/forums/thread.aspx?ThreadID=191890

Also checking on the 'NET for 'Southern Railway Historical Society'  and for similarily named references for N&W (Virginian Rwy as well). With some research you can find lots of interesting info on not only Southern Rwy, N&W RR, Virginian Rwy, But lots of interesting stuff relating to NSRR as well as its precursors roads.

The piece on " Brosnan Forest' is an example of some info I found while searching for something entirely different!

Best of Luck! in your SEARCH!

The last NS C30-7's were retired in May of 2001.

You can find the full current NS roster listed on my website here:
