whats the GP89 mentioned in that link?

The original poster started a thread about an imaginary "GP89".

After severe criticism by other forum users the thread was removed.

There is not and never was a "GP89". A single prototype locomotive SD89MAC was built, although it may not have had that title officially. It was an SD90MAC fitted with a 12-265H engine.

Also today we managed to get close to the new old EMD SD40 model CSX dark future paint scheme on one of our loco TORC locomotives, Ah how time does march on.  Remm when Chessie and then CSX bright future now dark future.   If you have never been lucky enough to spend time down at the coal and ore docs in Toledo and watched well even rode em like I did with my then you missed out.  Sure there is moutain railroading but try drilling a monster cut of loaded ore cars out and onto the ready.  It was so fun back in the day loading these when my dad let me have the throttle.   Memmories are so special are they not. No right no wrong just you and that iron and 16 cylinders and no one to say that you are wrong or right and no one to be a expert at what you have done!!  GOD BLESS for what a grand life it is my friends  I even used to ride and work coal trains on the then new unliked Chessie system EMDSD50s!   thrill thrill, and yup no one can correct you or even try to be right.  http://s1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd440/independentrailfan/#!cpZZ1QQtppZZ12
