To take them out of DP and put them back in conventional only takes a minute or so

putting them into DP mode takes a little longer,  a full brake test on the train is part of

the set-up procedure . We used to avoid the brake test part by linking them up before

adding them to the train, the brake test part was almost instantaneous with just the

locomotives involved (the train would have been on yard air and received a class 1

test)

If I would have to guess more than likely about as long as it takes to set them up for a Consist.

How long does it take to switch DPU's back to manual control and vise versa?
