TrainsRock Does anyone have pictures of the real thing? Don't bother with Google. It's all models or other CMSPP engines. Please comment if you know of any.

A good way to search for online pictures of a particular locomotive model owned by a particular RR is to type the following into Google: "(Name of RR)Photo Roster"
Many RR photo sites have these for most major fallen flags and currrent RRs..
Unfortunately that seems to be the only RS-1 pic on that site...

Carefully wiping the egg off my face and taking a closer look at my all-time MILW Rd. roster I see Jim is correct that the MILW had 2 early RS-1 that were requisition by the Army and replaced later, then they acquired 3 more in March 1950. Sorry about spouting off without checking more carefully.
The MILW did have RS1 engines - Two separate orders. The original order(1678/1679) was delivered in Nov 1941 in basic black and was later confiscated by the the government(1942) during WWII(along with everyone else's RS1's). These were for the most part converted to 6 motor trucks and a tapered cab for service on the Trans-Iranian railroad.
The MILW got replacements in May of 1943 and they were delivered in the grey/orange paint scheme(1676/1677), and IIRC, they had S/G and were used in the Chicago area. They were later re-numbered to 873/874 and became trade-in's for GP40's in 1967.
Atlas has done HO models in both the black scheme, and the grey/orange scheme.

They were used by the Army. Look on Wikipedia.
No one has such a picture because the CMStP&P never owned any Alco RS-1 locomotives. They did have RS-2 and RS-3 locomotives.
