For all the fans of the EJE Orange Locomotives, just a heads up, their days may be numbered. After leaving work Saturday morning, I saw the EJE 668 at the CN Woodcrest Shop sporting the Dark Blue and Red of the CN. Just a couple days before it was still sporting the Orange of "J". It now has EJE in white block letters just below the windows of the cab. It will probably be working in Markham Yard.
That might be an indication that it will stay in service for a while, the model (SD38-2) is quite suitable for hump and transfer duites.
CN was pretty quick at repainted the former Wisconsin Central SW1500's 1566-1571 for yard service. Over time, 1552, 1562, and 1564 have been repainted as well only leaving WC 1558, 1561, 1563, and 1565 in WC paint along with WC 1559-1560 that have been sitting in storage for almost a year now.
