A UP SD59M-2/SD60M rebuild with 12-710ECO has been sighted after being repainted. It's new road number is UP #9905, and can be easily mistaken for a flared SD70M.

Easy to tell them apart from the SD70. One will be the Cab not Isolated. Second the Trucks not the HTCR just a HTC. Lastly on the cab 3 windows instead of 2 as on the SD70M's so they will be easier to tell apart than when a Chicago Democrat is Lying and that anymore is easy their Lips are Moving.

All cabs on UP's 70-series EMDs are non-isolated, and the 10 SD60Ms rebuilt with the 12-710ECO are late phase with the 2-window cab. And it's original SD60 fuel tank was replaced with a new tank too. The rebuild still has the SD60 HTC trucks though, so that's still a distinguishing feature.

I assume 3842 trailing 9905 in that photo is indeed one of the late (Tier 1) SD70Ms and they are very similar. The radiators on 9905 look bigger and the standard Hi-Ad trucks stand out but there isn't much in it...
Good to see the photo. There may be many yet to come, if they are successful.

but yes, not all SD60Ms had 3 window cabs. In fact most didn't. Most used tapered Teardrop cabs.
