I approve of this threadStick out tongue Very nice drawings.

I've been wanting to paint a wide cab  in the Eagle scheme, but couldn't figure out how to do the stripes. Though i'm (suppose to be) modelling a freelance railroad, on mine the MO-PAC is still around. So far i've painted a GP-60, doublestack, reefer , 2 containers, and a trailer.

I preferr "Rail" over "trail".

It's so beautiful it nearly brings a tear to my eyes! Wink

Thanks! I used the reporting marks of the subsidiaries from the MP before 1956.

You mean like this?

NOTM SD70Ace

I used the original Turbo Eagle Logo on the hood of the locomotive (the SD70M had the Screaming Eagle Logo used after 1974).

After looking at both of these a bit more, I'd like to see the second version but with the eagles on the sides and wings on the front like the first one has.

If mopac were still around today, I'd want them to look something like these. As a mopac modeller, I'm half tempted to paint some modern engines to look like these. Then again I'm pretty lazy! Although I really like the mopac heritage engine, it really should have been one of these paint schemes instead.

They sure should've been! Two real good candidates for the SD70ACe would be the Seaboard Air Line E-Unit scheme and the Atlantic & East Carolina F2A scheme.

SLBM SD70ACe #4324

After reading and looking over and over about the UP #1982, I sat down and began to think..."What If?"....then two inspirations came in: Model Railroader Magazine (June 2001) about a new Life-Like Proto 2000 GP7 painted in Missouri Pacific and Fredswain's comment about it:

As a big Mopac fan I give my nod of approval. That's awesome. It would be nice to see all of the current engines painted like this such as the GE's and the SD70ACe.

A special thanks to Michael Eby from his site for the undercorated SD70ACe: http://trainiax.net/mescaleloco.php

 Thanks.

No, I don't plan on painting any models. I never had much talent with an airbrush lol.

As far as modern diesels go, the SD70M has always been my favorite.  The concept paint scheme makles it look even better.  The Museum of Transportation (ST. Louis, MO) is restoring an old Missouri Eagle Observation car, which looks fantastic.  I'd post pictures, but they said not to, for various reasons which I cannot post either. This car would look great behind a SD70M (or E-8!) with this paint scheme.  Good job CNW8052!

The timbers beneath the rails are not the only ties that bind on the railroad.

MP 7000 Thought I'd whip up a Missouri Pacific SD70M concept scheme. Here's what I came up with.

 Enjoy.
