Several ex BN SD40's which have since held FURX reporting marks, have been delivered to the Kansas & Oklahoma at Wichita for work at the KO (ex KCMO, SF) shops. One of the units has been renumbered and released as 4138 and is up and running on the South Kansas & Oklahoma nightly Windfield-Wichita turn.

There is a trackage rights on BNSF that passes by the Derby area in the middle of the day ( I have seen it between about 10Am and 1 PM, on several occasions. Each time there was a UP unit and a FUREX unit and a train of something like twenty to twenty-five cars. Is this the train you are referencing?
Have also seen an all UP powered train (possibly ethanol tankers) down in the Belle Plaine area once or twice, I kind of thought might have originated around the Wellington area. But without a scanner these are pure gusses.
I guess I gave the wrong impression. I meant to say my observations were as traffic was passing throught Belle Plaine, we only have one company here that receives grain by rail, gthey process seeds for bird feed. The sidings here are usually only for MOW equipment and an occassional down locomotive.
