I know the NYSW does have an SD40, and are using one in CSX paint, but the train I chased from Little Ferry to Midland Park the other night had this engine, an SD45, and some tunnel motors on it.  Oh, and it sounded great going up the grade.  What is sad is the retirement of the GP18s.  But Susie-Q does occasionally put on a good show.

Dunno about the NYS&W, but today's "News Wire" does have a loco hanging over the "intercoastal" waterway somewhere down south.  Guess the editors took an early weekend.

Is anyone else as surprised as me to read the Trains article (pdf) that stated that the NYSW roster was composed of 4 SD40s?

Did no-one at Kalmbach do their homework?

All you have to do is a Google search. Come on guys! I know we are a pokey upstate RR, but really!
