I think I remember reading that Mr McCormack still has it. The offer I heard was anyone willing to paint or pay for the paint was welcome to do so.

Doyle has restored one PA and painted it for the Nickel Plate.The other was supposed to go to the Smithsonian,but they turned it down.I don't know what happened to that engine.

Last I heard (and several years ago) was Doyle McCormack was restoring two ex ATSF PA's to NKP livery.  Any update available or is it a dead project at this point?
