I believe this was a satellite of the Alco spring plant at 23rd and Euclid in Chicago Heights, which is still active under the name Alco Spring Industries, Inc.  Alco Spring was a unit of the parent company under the name Railway Steel Spring Division, and manufactures springs for railway, automotive, earthmoving, mining, materials handling, and farm implement applications.

Alco had a plant in Chicago Heights, IL at 26th & Euclid. Shut down in 1950's, well maintained and sold in late 60's. What was built there? Anyone know?
