www.sooline.org has a link to the Soo Line Diesel Roster.
There you can find the current ownership of the Soo Line SD60s.

Thaks guys! Glad you like em. My fav colors are CR Blue! Unfortunately, they are very far and few between and most go either as CSX or NS. So, when I see something out of the ordinary CSX in the yard, I have to investigate and pray that the camera is with me for the shots.
Take care!

Hunter - When we met in January of 2000, you were just a 6 week old pup who walked his way into this heart of mine as the only runt in the litter who would come over to me. And today, I sit here and tell you I am sorry we had to put you down. It was the best thing for you and also the right thing to do. May you now rest in peace and comfort. Love, Dad. 8 June 2010
I love you and miss you Mom. Say hi to everyone up there for me. Rest in peace and comfort. Love, John. 29 March 2017
Growning up in ND, I was a big SOO line fan. Definitely nice to see that a few locos are still showing the colors.
The only issue with the photos is the ugly CSX engine next to the SOO engine. Other than that, great photo.
Thanks for posting them.
So many scales, so many trains, so little time.....

Any SOO locomotive still running around is actually a CP loco in disguise.
Canadian Pacific now owns and operates SOO.
so thats an ex-SOO CP run-through unit that simply hasnt been repainted yet..

ACTUALLY, railroads go by reporting marks....that SOO SD60 does not have CP reporting marks...which makes it a SOO...once she gets repainted in CP she is CP, unless she gets "SOO" Stub lettering...SOO is still a company on paper...
Canadian National does something different from CP, when there predecessor locomotives get repainted they stub letter it what locomotive it was...such as IC 6100 is in the CN scheme...but is still IC...along with all the other CN repaints...it still goes under that railroad...they even say "Stub Lettering, number"...I like the system as you don't need to renumber locomotives...lets say you have 2 2500s, well one is CN 2500 and the other is WC 2500...plus no patches are nice too...so on CN, the locomotive never really becomes CN...
Also 6038 appears she isn't a leaser..yet......as she would of had the "SOO" Crossed out or patched over. She probably will be in SOO paint for years to come, eather untill she get's retired, or a major rebuild.

so thats an ex-SOO CP run-through unit that simply hasnt been repainted yet..CP power is quite common around NY state, they operate the former D&H from Binghamton to Albany and north to Canada, they still run on the Southern Tier main between Binghamton and Bufflao on NS, using the old D&H traffic rights, and they operate into Buffalo from Canada..
SOO power has been folded in the general CP locomotive pool, and SOO power can be found anywhere CP runs..which is just about everywhere in the nortern USA and Canada! coast to coast..

Not sure. It could be a loaner from one of the leasing companies.
