AC44-9W to Brazil
Posted by pedrop on Sunday, November 11, 2007 6:25 PM

Hi guys,

I received the news today that brazilian broad gauge MRS ordered 40 AC44 to GE Canada.  Somebody told me the model will be ACi44M. Also, MRS ordered more 30 C38MEi (below) to the same company. By the way, have somebody seen the C38 at canada in way to Brazil?

EFVM and EFC will try an ordr of SD70MAC, being the EFVM models on BB+BB trucks, so it will be a BB40MAC.

Sorry, I made a mistake. The C38 were made in Eire plant.

There is no such thing as an AC44-9W. There is the AC4400CW which is an AC traction locomotive and there is the C44-9W which is a DC traction locomotive.
