I believe the next scheduled movement of 844 is September 3rd, to North Platte, Topeka and Wichita.

She's headed to Denver for the State Fair run to Pueblo at the end of August. It was supposed to be 3985, but repairs probably won't be complete at that time.

I am thinkin' real hard about picking up a couple of tickets. I was looking at the seats for $450, but that might be money better spent elsewhere. I don't know if I could get that past the wife anyhow......

why ask? i'm annoyed that he never comes to Illinois or anywhere east of north platte.the track up here has bridges too weak to support his weight, but not the area near proviso. being that i recently got a job, i can actually pay for gas money and expand my railfanning territory. hence i can go see 844 if he came to IL or even IA. but he's always out west!
