I'm amazed that any of these rare SDP40s are still in service. I thought BNSF took them off the roster.

i fail to see how that has anything to do with SDP40s but ok...i see a lot of either of those UP SD40-2s whenever i catch a train in Altoona.
certainly interesting to see an SDP40. too bad they killed it with those noselights. should've repainted it too

In 2003, at the GNRHS convention in Havre, Montana, I was able to get inside the 6327-originally GN 325. The steam generator compartment is empty, and the grilles are actually plated over from the inside. The only things inside that area were a couple of spare knuckle holders. We could still see the marks on the deck where the steam generator sat.This was part of our tour of the Havre locomotive shop for the convention. Thanks, again, BNSF!
