Overmod The ancient thing of interest is to go back and resurrect the threads on RyPN involving its shutdown, and then follow how that situation was resolved to give us the present resource. (Note that the major reason for the shutdown is today one of the more respected posters...)

These days it seems like he loses a bit of respect every time he posts........ ...hopefully no potential AFT 2.0 sponsors ever look at his online history.

There were some even older but they didn't interest me!
In fact, with only one or two responses apparantly they didn't interest anyone else!
1702According to rypn.org, they now have a new board of directors and are working to have the site up and running by Sunday evening. They'll have a new set of guidelines for anyone wishing to join.

I wish someone would bring back "Locomotive And Railway Preservation" magazine! Man, how I miss "Eleanor P!"
