Thanks! Saw the Metrolink car at the Milwaukee Amtrak Depot. I see Talgo in Milwaukee is still working on the Metrolink Contract from 2019. Has to cost a small fortune to ship those cars all the way from LA to Milwaukee to get worked on. So either Talgo really low balled the price or someone in LA is not paying attention.

kgbw49Boy that does return one to the heyday of the Milwaukee Road. Class A 4-4-2 and Class F-7 4-6-4 locomotives ripping through Pewaukee on the advertised numeras times per day.
There is a rather large monument tombstone in the Hartland cemetary not too far from the tracks with the name NYSTROM on it. I have never looked but it would be really cool if if was the NYSTROM truck designer guy. Have a suspicion it is because Hartland was popular for a handful of Milwaukee Road mid to operation level employees.
I think that was one of the reasons they hung onto the rail passenger service to Watertown and back (that and they wanted Wisconsin to form a RTA and take it over) . Train was used by some Milwaukee employees, friends of them and potentially a shipper relation or two. Was a fairly closeknit group on that train from what I heard up until the termination of service.

Here you go: Hiawatha favored publicity shot location, RR crossing at Pewaukee Lake.......Main Street across the street from the Milwaukee Depot replica attempt which is now a public changing room for the lake beach across the street (I think they had a Hiawatha sleeper in the Lake series named Pewaukee as well).

Pewaukee Lake used to be a favored destination long ago for Joe Lunch Pail. Had huge railroad hotel, used to have a large amusement part (Waukesha Beach), the former TMER&LCo Interurban Waukesha Beach Substation is still there in a way, across the street is a historical marker that says "Waukeha Beach", if you ever have time on your hands to go look. Drive to St. Anthony's Church in Pewaukee (Highway SS exit from I-94 West) and take the road (forget the name) to access their rear parking lot. You can see the Interurban ROW on your left (elevated hiking trail) and should be able to find the Historical Marker as it is just past the rear parking lot of the church on the right.

It is at St Paul Union Depot this evening until 8:00 CDT.
Relatively light advanced publicity, it seemed.
Overmod I don't see a real-time 'train tracker' like Amtrak's or UP's anywhere on the CPKC site. They have a schedule (already a few days old), a 3D stitched panorama of a cab view, and a drone video. If you have a direct tracker link, or location, post it here.

It is working now. Above website link, scroll to bottom, give it time to load and there is a big red tag where the train is now.
Is this a real time train tracker because I am not seeing anything here.....
