I saw on another publication that they (https://rrhma.com/) test run 6936 running with both prime movers in Silvis on 8/19.

That would be a most interesting pairing.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

Well, nobody will ever be able to say that RRHMA doesn't know Jack, because they got the Big Jack up and running.

Hello, I am new here, and this is the first forum I found that I was interested in. While I am not replying to you directly, how do I start a conversation/post?

Welcome friend!

Navigate back out to the main screen with the title at the top.

In this case "Steam and Preservation".

On the upper right there will be a big red rectangular button that says "Create A New Discussion Topic".

Click on that and you are on your way!

I'm still beside myself with joy that all these big locomotives are being restored to operation not too far from where I live. I've been ramping up my Illinois trips more often in recent years for a lot of train-related reasons (Ok mostly CNW 7009 Laugh ) and I'm definitely gonna enjoy seeing 6936 and the big steam run when their day arrives. Plus the QCs are fun to explore in general!

Your friendly neighborhood CNW fan.
