I missed Moxie Day this year. In the past the Moxie Congress has brought lots of fun things along, including the Moxie Mobile with a steering wheel-equipped horse.

Always drank it cold, fresh from the refrigerator, and loved it. But I like olives, cumquats, near-easten Marbucha mixed with rice, the just-boiled ice with Marbucha from the frig is ready-to-eat. Most frequent desert these days is a green-apple with sugarless 100% chocolate (very moderate amount). Try it.
Maybe Macabee;s "Star" is a good substitute for Moxie anyway.
Was any reader at Seashore on Moxie Day to report on it? Please do!
daveklepperI have not tasted Moxie for over 50 years. As a youngster, at New Hampshire and Maine summer camps, when off-campus; with change in my pocket, and a general store along the hike's way--- I loved the stuff. In Israel, Macabee low-or-no-alcohol beer comes close, but not all the way
Moxie! Having heard of the stuff from reading WW1 history, Doughboys who approved of someone said "He's got a lot of Moxie!" when I ran into it on a trip to Maine in 1982 I just had to try it.
Well, I wouldn't say it tasted like no-alcohol beer, I thought it tasted like carbonated black coffee. When it was ice cold it was OK, but when it started to warm up? Not so good. I guess it was meant for a older, tougher group of guys! Or folks that can take those cold Maine winters.
Now the local Maine blend of Coca-Cola was outstanding! Best I've ever had!
