2021 Big Boy Tour in 360 Degree VR
Posted by York1 on Monday, December 20, 2021 3:15 PM

I just got an email link to the UP's video on Big Boy.

It's a pretty neat video.  You can move the view around to see 360°.  It even has 360° views in the cab while Big Boy is running.

Edit:  I see that didn't work to embed the video.

Here's the link to the Youtube site:

Wow!  Great video, although it's going to take me several trys to get the hang of the VR option.

No problem, I'll have fun learning!

Thanks for posting!

I didn't think YouTube had such a capability.  Just open the video, and if you want to change the view angle, place your cursor arrow in the video image someplace, click, but hold your finger down on the mouse button, and swipe in any direction, up, down, sideways...to see something not currently in view.

That's what I was doing, and then I noticed a directional arrow symbol in the upper left-hand corner.  It looked a bit like a compass rose.  That'll move the view as well.

That was something! I didn't know that angle moving thing would even be possible. Got to give the UP all credit for what they have done.
