I've heard the rumors about E&LS not being very friendly towards railfans.

And with good reason.  Quite a few years ago, somebody broke into one of the buildings and made off with several Baldwin operating and maintenance manuals.

Is E&SL the road that has the Baldwin sharks locked up in a building?

Paul, I was just throwing the idea out there. I doubt anyone has even talked with the E&LS about the two Milw F units.

I've heard the rumors about E&LS not being very friendly towards railfans.

I just can't get the idea of a trio of Milw F units rumbling through the Michigan countryside and pulling freight out of my head.

I tend to doubt it.  F units are terrible for switching and like most shortlines, E&LS does a fair amount of en route switching.  Finances may also be an issue.

Hi everyone, I am just wondering if possibly the Escanaba & Lake Superior would be interested in saving the Milw Road FP7 96-C and F7B 68B? Since they own and operate a lone Milw FP7, the 96-A, the E&LS would then have a 3 unit matched set of Ex Milw FP units and a B unit.

I don't believe the city of Noblesville has yet scrapped the 3 F units sitting in the yard.
