UP has just announced this trip that starts October 13:

http://www.up.com/media/releases/161003-steam-locomotive-memphis.htm

The train will travel through Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Arkansas and Oklahoma during its itinerary away from the Cheyenne, WY home base.

Be safe out there!

From the UPRR website:No.844's "Trek to Tennessee" Schedule

@https://www.up.com/aboutup/special_trains/steam/details.shtml

Note: Just a guess on my part: They'll move 844 yo yjr Harahan Bridge crossing for the dedication (of the new lightimg, pedestrian walkway(s)?  And then possibly, have to run in reverse back to Marion, Ar. area for the layover(?)  Not sure where they might turn it around, or if trackwork is available that would allow 844 to be turned ?
