"261" sounds so sterile. Ever see the movie "Danger Lights", filmed on the Milwaukee Road in 1930?
That engine should be named the "Dan Thorne," after the tough division super with a "heart o' gold" played so well by Louis Wohlheim!
"The Dan Thorne," it just sounds so right!
OK, I've had my bit of sillyness for the day, but dammit it felt GOOD!
Here is another shot of MILW 261 on that same break-in run on the Twin Cities & Western...
Here is MILW 261 on a passenger excursion on the Twin Cities & Western...
Anyone have the season for the MLK road steam engine in Minnie?
Can't you just say "261" like normal people? Or use a correct abbreviation like MILW instead of making us wonder about whether there is a traction engine operating in the Martin Luther King park?
(Not to be Scrooge. That was a nice shot in the link provided!)

It will also make an appearance at Train Day at St. Paul Union Depot, April 29th through May 1st.
