Two friends and I will be on the 2nd one going from Lynchburg to Petersburg and return on June 13.  One friend was determined to get tickets for us and he sat by his computer until he was successful.  We'll be leaving from St. Louis and driving there and back, should be quite a trip. We are all railfans who met through Facebook and we will be joined on the trip by another FB friend who lives in MI.

Thanks, feltonhill.  It would be nice to hear short reports or impressions from anyone who comes here once in a while.  If you'd care to, I'd love to read it.

I wish I could, but it's a watershed year for the missus and me...we're dealing with my father and friend who need to pull back and move to less demanding circumstances near us (their own watershed...), and we have also sold and will move over the next three months.  We are all in the same town.

I donated a very modest sum just to feel good about having a role in restoring the old gal, but...sadly, I can't participate in her return to glory.
