St. Louis, Iron Mountain & Southern Abandonment?
Posted by W. Dancey on Monday, January 26, 2015 10:58 PM

Hi guys,                                    Thought this would fit best in the preservation section, so I will ask what ever happened to the plans to scrap a portion of the St. Louis, Iron Mountain & Southern Railroad ( tourist line in Missouri)?   I have heard that the plans fell through, but have also heard that the scrapping of all but five miles of the ROW has been scrapped.   What's the current status of the railroad and it's length/ROW?             Thanks guys!                           W.
