If the operator shut down in 2013, it would surprise me if the track had already been taken up.  As an example, the Chicago, Aurora & Elgin was formally abandoned in the summer of 1961 but salvage operations didn't begin until the following spring.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

Last I heard, it was still for sale, hoping a buyer would continue.

With the Carthage, Knightstown & Shirley Railroad shutting down in 2013, has the track been ripped up yet?
