1604 Allegheny

As a docent at the B&O Museum I can supply some info on the 1604. Between the damage it suffered in the floods and he fact in stood for several years as a centerpiece in a mall near the museum, I think I can safely say that there would be no way to restore the Allegheny to running condition. If it were possible, it would cost several million dollars which the museum doesn't have. On a brighter note, the museum is in discussions with the Western Maryland Historical Society to move the 2-6-6-2 #1309 to the WMHS and restore it to running condition on their tracks. Keep your fingers crossed, there might be another "supersized" steamer back on the tracks
