Thanks DRG and Overmod for the info! I've definately heard of French Lick Indiana (wonder how it got THAT name?) but French Lick West Baden and Southern is a new one for me.
See? It's a wasted day if you don't learn something new!
She looks like one of those Panama Canal Moguls. Thanks for the photo and good luck!
French Lick, West Baden & Southern, in Indiana. Near the frankly amazing West Baden Springs Hotel.
The locomotive is a 1912 Baldwin, ex-Angeline & Neches River. She is on loan from the Trinity River Railroad Historical Association (formerly the Trinity Valley Railfans/Trinity Valley Railroad Club) which has a Web site available through Trainorders.com:
http://members.trainorders.com/tvrha/Tvrha.htm
and a contact e-mail address last listed as tvrha2001@yahoo.com
That would be the logical place to look regarding how to volunteer or assist with any restoration of the locomotive...
Firelock FL,WB&S stands for French Lick, West Baden & Southern out of French Lick,IN. as to who owns it well that is very simple French Lick Indiana Railway Museum. She was Built in 1912 for the Angelina & Neches River Railroad and Her Build Plate Number is #38093. She is A Sweet Locomotive and I would hate to see her go to waste. She needs us more than ever before. Save Our History!

I have to admit to my ignorance on this one. Can you give any particulars, such as where it is, who owns it, when did it last run, and so on.
Heck, I've never even heard of the FL, WB&S. Who were they? Where were they?
Not trying to be a wise guy, mind you.
I Wonder If Anyone Cares for this old Girl? She is a Beautiful 2-6-0 and she is the one who turned me on to Steam Locomotives. Is there any possible way to get her restored to operational status? I have pictures of her back in 1988 when i was 3yrs. old. I would be willing to help with the restoration if necessary. Any Ideas?
