"The Virginia Museum of Transportation announces its intention to return the iconic Norfolk & Western Class J 611 Steam Locomotive to excursion service if her supporters will fund the project. The N&W Class J 611 Steam Locomotive has been invited to participate in Norfolk Southern’s 21st Century Steam Program. The Virginia Museum of Transportation must reach its fundraising goal by October 31, 2013 for the locomotive to join the program in 2014. Learn more and donate by checking out the link below..."

I still can't figure out what happened to the K4s. Just unbelieveable. How does a locomotive up and running in 1989 turn into a piece of junk in just a few years?
Looking forward to seeing 611 waking up after its long sleep.
