Don't know if this has been here yet. Maybe under a different subject heading.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.

You probably won't see anything like that again.

Finale?  Is Polish State Railroad ending its tourist-attracting steam program?

I hope not!

After I heard those steam whistles, I had a hard time seeing those engines through the tears in my eyes. Thanks for the link.

They do this each May.

The 2009 parade video is at

Wolsztyn is the last place that has steam run in regular daily service.

Last year I got the pleasure of operating both OJ49-59 and OJ49-69 in regular passenger service and Px48-1919 on the Narrow Gauge.  It is an experience I will not soon forget.

for more information on Wolsztyn go to

I am not sure how much longer this operation will last so if you have a chance to go you should.

That was fantastic, thx for sharing.

Sounded like it was in Poland too, by the title.  Dad's mother was Polish, so that's part of my heritage along with trains.
