Ex-Reading 2101 on B&O 17 MIle Grade

Extreme close-up video of the 2101 pulling the Chessie Steam Express up the nasty B&O 17 mile Grade. For those of you not familiar with this section of the B&O, the grade is 17 miles long (hence the name), climbs 2000 vertical feet up the Allegheny Front in Western Maryland and West Virginia, and has a maximum gradient of 2.7%.

Nice.  Thanks for sharing that.  I rode that trip and was about halfway back on the other side.
