4449 return trip

Why no information about the return run of 4449??????????

I would think they would like as much publicity they could get.

They created a lot of excitement going.

prolly this friday, but I gotta work unless they run near me late I will miss it.

The return trip will go to Milwaukee instead of the route they came. Then return west.

4449 is too wide for Union Station as well as a bridge in south Chicago.  I believe that somewhere in the Chicago area it will be detached and the remainer of that leg pulled by the Amtrak engine.  I think it likely that it will be reconnected shortly after leaving the staton the next morning.

4449 is supposed to come off the train in East Chicago, IN, run light down the IHB to Franklin Park, then reverse to Metra's Western Avenue Yard. 4449 then should be added to the train Sunday somewhere around Western Avenue. Routing is always subject to change if more clearance issues come up, even though I kinda doubt that happening.

Will they stop between CHI and MKE for servicing, or run straight through?
