Milwaukee Road 261 auxiliary tender

     I have a question about 261's auxiliary tender. Where did 261's auxiliary tender come from? I think it came from Norfolk Southern after their steam program ended in 1994. Please tell me if I'm correct.

As Mr. Diehl provided in his link, that A-tank you ask about did come from NS and was the tuscan-colored tank you see in some of the pictures from late 1994.  It was picked up from Birmingham when the 611 met up with the 1522 to doublehead to Atlanta for the NRHS convention.  For the most part, we pulled around 2 tanks, this one and the black one that is now behind the 1218 in Roanoke, until the plug was pulled by the not-to-be-named CEO-type from NS.
