There was a picture in the most recent "Classic Trains" magazine showing a CPR Royal Hudson taking on water at a steel water column/spout.

Maybe I didn't explain right. I am looking for water colum, not a water tower.

 You'll have more luck with internet searches using the term "water tower," as that is the vernacular term.

 I am making in brass some water spout, but I can find information about it in the net.
