Durango and Silverton's Fall Photographer's Special
Posted by Nataraj on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 6:48 PM
Im going to the Durango and Silverton Fall Photographer's Special this weekend for the first time, and staying the night in silverton, returning the next day. Also was offered a caboose upgrade for $30 per ticket. Not sure if i will, but it sounds like a deal, depending on seating.

Has anyone done this trip in the previous years? If so, how was it? Also, I looked up the caboose but couldnt find much info, but I was interested to see the seating arrangement, and if there was seating at the top to look over the while train.

Videos and pics will be uploaded after I come home! (I will have to make a photobucket account for pictures.... )

Back from durango, and boy was it a great trip. Train was pulled by K-28 #473. The caboose was 5050, and the weather was great and sunny except for a random 1-hour rain shower (mostly drizzle). There were some real great photo shoots/run-bys and a rare night time photo shoot.

I got a whole bunch of videos im in the process of getting on the computer and up to youtube. Ill post links soon as I get them up.

As I dont have a photobucket or similar account, the pics will take longer to get up as Ill concentrate on getting videos up first.
