The CRI&P E8 #652 and E6 #630 have been purchased by the Iowa Northern Railroad from private owners. The units have been based at the Midland Railway in Baldwin City Kansas for over a decade in exursion service. The units weren't completely restored or purchased due to other expenses. The units were the Midlands signiture and the reason I fell in love with trains. Can anyone tell me what the INRR expects to do with the Units.1468314707

If I know Mr Sabine hes going to fix em up and run em. He is an old Rock employee and one of the most interesting railroad CEO's I have ever talked to. He is an active member on the inrr yhoo group. He has even asked questions to the people online about " what woul you do if you ran the INRR?"

Once rehabbed I can see them on the Hawkeye express or some other excursion train on home rails.

Thanks to the Midland for taking care of the old girls, but I am glad they are oming home.

Yes we are on time but this is yesterdays train
