This could be a pricey proposition, especially after the housing bust subsides and developers start paying top dollar for undeveloped farm land.
The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

Land Preservation

Every year many of Americas rural tourist lines see land along their right of way being developed. This ruins much of the atmosphere and ambiance of the ride. I am a member of the Midland Railway in Baldwin City KS and am concerned it could one day happen to us.I know that Strasburg and IRM are actively pursing to either put farmland along their right of way into a trust or buy it all together. I am wondering if other tourist lines are also pursuing this and how they are accomplishing it.
