Try opening up the case to dermine what manufacturer and model signals you have, then just query the internet by that. I did that exact same thing to read up on US&S H-2 searchlight signals after I aquired one a while back. I was amazed by the info that's out there.

signal parts

Would any one know as to how I might find some history & or parts to fix up several old signals?

My dad used to collect signals & lanterns that he was going to place around his home to go with his back yard rail road. But some of them are in bad shape & in need of some TLC.

I know that most of them came from Grand trunk but that is about it. I was told that they will be all coming to me for use in my train set up that I will be hoping to do some time in the future. But for now I would like to get them fixed up. The one I love the most is the semaphore we have that sits just outside in the front of the garage. If I can not get any of the others in working condition that would be the one I would spend the most time with.

I would like to have a bell off a steamer & may be a head light to. Dad had some but...............

Let's just say some sticky fingers came along & now they are gone. I suspect some of the signals are still there do to they have been cemented into the ground.

Any help I would appreciate.

One more thing would any one know of a steam school I could attend. I am planning on going top one this Sept but that will be for steam traction & not rail.

Thank yo u& take care.
