You beat me to it.

At a museum that I volunteered at for a number of years, we would occasionally use juveniles that had community service to complete for groundskeeping and such. Rarely we would get one that had an actual interest in volunteering for the museum past their community service. Then there are the ones that I wouldn't trust beyond arm's length. We somtimes would find things missing, and that was always my first thought (or they would have their girlfriends meet them and do not so svory things in one of the staterooms in the business car during museum hours).

Tell me they didn't do unsavory things!!!!!!! Oh, for shame!!!!

I will, however, bet that that was probably not the first unsavory thing so done there.....

Hey, that gives me an idea....

just kidding. I will at least pay for the stateroom first.....

-G .

Just my thoughts, ideas, opinions and experiences. Others may vary.

 HO and N Scale.

After long and careful thought, they have convinced me. I have come to the conclusion that they are right. The aliens did it.

That's pretty cheeky. How much energy does it take to rock a pullman... uhh.. never mind.

Three charged in museum theft

WOODSTOCK - Three men have been arrested in connection with a June theft at the Illinois Railroad Museum.

Kevin Riley, 26, of 215 Maple St.; Glenn B. Martinie, 20, of 652 Brink St., both of Woodstock; and Gerald A. Lohmeyer, 19, of 8620 Sunset Drive, Wonder Lake, each was charged with theft, criminal damage to property and criminal trespass to property.

The McHenry County Sheriff's Office said an investigation revealed that the men drove a U-Haul truck through a chain-link fence at the museum, at 7000 Olson Road. They removed a soda machine and $23,000 worth of copper cable used for old-fashioned trolley cars, a department spokesman said.

The investigation will continue, and additional charges could be filed at a later date, the office said.

Riley and Lohmeyer are being held in the McHenry County Jail on unrelated burglary and theft charges. No information was available on Martinie's status.
