On first glance that dog-powered railroad seems so wrong in so many ways, but on the other hand the dogs don't seem to mind.

The elephant on shunting duty doesn't seem to mind either.

Found a video of the Alaska pupmobile in action in the 1920's - moving at a surprising rate of speed. Those doggies are enthusiastic! And, yes, I wouldn't doubt they pulled a dog sled in the Winter. Location is on the Seward Peninsula near Nome.
