I've been there a couple of times, most notably last summer when MILW 261 came through town. Here's one of my shots of the swing bridge- http://www.flickr.com/photos/85729295@N00/33549613/

Best time is early in the day or after 5:00. I thought it would be a bonanza hanging out by the bridge over the Mississippi. The ex C&NW was dead and IC&E was pretty cold! Best thing was that they were working on the 1909 bridge. Check out this photo:

Willy,

If you're familiar with the Clinton area, I could use some info on the UP operations at, or around, Clinton area. Clinton yard jobs, locals, etc. Post here or send me an email.

Thanks,
CC

The 5th St Interlocker would be my guess. The ICE crosses there.

I am going to visit relatives in Clinto Iowa. Where is the best spot to view the Union Pacific, etc.
