Is there a current, up-to-date guide out there that has railroad radio frequencies?
Thanks for your help in advance! [:)]

Well, you could go to railroadradio.net. Under the feed pages, it usually lists the Frequencys picked up. Also you could go to your local RadioShack and pick up a copy of "Police call", but make sure its a new version. I like Police call because it lists Railroads, police, fire, paramedic, marine, airports, and even some non-classified gov. frequencys.

Try Altamont Press. They can be found at http://altamontpress.com and have railfan guides for sale. They give a line-by-line run down of stations, control points, frequencies and other information.
I hope this helps.

Whatever happened to old channel one, which was grandfathered in from the old CRI&P? It is 161.610. I have religiously programmed it into my scanner for years, but noticed an article on RR frequencies now starts with channel 2. Is 161.61 defunct?

Good going, guys . . . keep it comin'! My knowledge base is pretty much zero and I am determined to make my new Radio Shack scan what I want it to scan, but RR frequencies just knock me out.
