Railhead Train with 44 M1A1 Abrahms Tanks
Posted by Blinkey on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 5:19 PM

Our GDLS Team just sent out their 44 M1A1's destined for Germany. Their supposed to load them tomorrow on the train and hoping the train pulls out at night so I can record a video for this site.

The trains coming out of Ft. Riley, KS and should come by my hotel on the way to Port. Everything else thats railheaded out goes by the hotel. Should be able to shoot a video with my webcam. Don't have enough power to sit at the tracks to take the video.

That will be great! I only have a short clip from my digital camera of my company's A1s on-loading in the ROK, and I've been wondering what the differences might be here in the States (esp. here in the Midwest).

Can't wait to see it! Big Smile

I asked when the train may move out, was givin the answer of when they find 28 more shackles to tied down with. hope to see it roll out. Don't know when it will be, but normally they roll at night.

Should be able to drive over to the railhead to see the train anyways.
