Where will this engine go on trips?  It'd be neat to see in person.

You shoulda came over and said hi! That train was a helluva job gettin switched but after all that it was pretty fun, and I got to be in one of your pictures! I was riding the ole BUDD #9169 as an extra conductor, owing to the fact that the normal one was in the part of the train seperated by that piece of junk AMTRAK P42 #53.

For my other thoughts on the matter, check out my #261 thread.

If I would have know I would have definitely come up and said "Hello".  I guess maybe we need to get some of the "TRAINS" forums T-shirts they are selling to help with ID'ing people.

I took quite a few pictures down at the museum while the train was being put together.  There is a good chance you might be in more of them.  Also speaking of the "piece of junk" Amtrak unit.  #53 happens to be the unit that I believe at one time left the shops with "Amtrak" spelled wrong.  I think I remember when it originally happened.  I think there are some shots of the #53 in service with Amtrak spelled wrong.  Usually the Amtrak Unit behind #261 breaks down, I believe #261 has taken out 3 Genesis units.

Notice the orignal spelling of "Amtrak" on the side.

ATMRAK ???

Maybe they should retrofit P42's with spell checker.

Nice shots, Keith

I know that there was talk about the misspelled Amtrak units awhile ago.  So I did some checking and here is a link to a photo of #53 in service with the "Atmrak" on the side.

Can you get money out of an ATMrak?

Nice shots as always Keith.  Good luck this weekend getting the QJs in Iowa.

It was a great trip seeing the 261.  Man those digital camera sure do make nice days out of what were not such nice days!   In a week when my slides get back I'll know whether I had a good time or not -- and if I got shots of our friend in the Budd RDC.
