UP 906958 is a former Pacific Fruit Express car that was transfered to the Union Pacific when PFE was split up in the 1970s.  It was series R70-13 and built in 1963.  Along with many of its series the car was retired and made into a bunk car.

Do you have any photos of this car?  I would love to have some.

Thanks

I saw UP 906958, and another similar car with the number graffitied over, recently. It is a former reefer with a high brake wheel and Hydra-Cushion cylinder. The first thought is that it is a former SPFE car, but I don't think any SPFE reefers that old made it to the UP merger. Then I thought it could be a former BAR reefer. However, all of those I have seen have low brake wheels. Does anyone know the heritage of this car?
