On the RDG the short hood was front on the RS4 and RS4b's (trainmasters). On all the other first generation hood units the long hood was front.

Well I'm not sure about Reading, but I know many early diesils were run long hood forward, because of the crews being used to running steams!

Did the Reading run thier H-24-66 Trainmasters long hood foward?From what few photos i have seen,it appears they did.Thanks for any and all info.
