F-Unit 410 Active on MN Hudson Line
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, December 5, 2003 12:40 PM
Metro-North F10 is running this weekend in active snow service on Metro-North's Hudson Line.

Today, at noon, I sighted 410 running with GP-38 102 at Greystone, NY, running South.

Photographers should take note that the F10 is running on the North end of the consist. MN seems to be using the pair of locomotives to ferry construction personnel (lots of major platform work is occuring on the Hudson Line), snow-clearing, and emergency train rescue.

If anyone can get a picture of this unit in action I would like to see it. Please email it to me. And as always any railroad pic is welcome, (especially ALCOS).

Steve, welcome to the forums, hope you enjoy them. Any fan of the F unit (any variety will do) is OK in my book. I saw a few F10 units last year running at the far North end of the Harlem line, way up north! Jim
