References Cited in Guide to North American Railroad Hotspots
Posted by collingswood_don on Thursday, February 22, 2007 12:10 PM

This spring, while out in California, my family and I are going to visit Tehachapi Loop and Cajon Pass.  I have Kalmbach's 2001 edition of Guide to North American Railroad Hotspots.  Both one-page hotspot descriptions cite a reference:

  • Tehachapi Loop - "Trains on Location," January 1996, Trains magazine; and
  • Cajon Pass - "Trains on Location," June 1995, Trains magazine.

My questions is, is there enough additional useful information in these "Trains on Location" articles to make the magazine issues worth back-ordering?  It would be particularly helpful to have a map which would indicate good viewing and picture-taking locations and how get to those locations.
